Adam Burk, MA
I believe that life presents challenges to us all. There are so many things that go into making us who we are, including biological, social, mental, and relational characteristics unique to each one of us. My goal in therapy is to be a collaborative partner in helping individuals, couples, and families gain a better understanding of their experience while forming strategies for connection, growth, self-compassion, and meaning. My style is influenced by Gestalt, Cognitive-Behavioral, and Emotionally Focused Therapies, and allows me to provide a safe, empathetic, and understanding environment where clients can maximize their potential.
I hold a Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Regis University, and enjoy working with couples, families, and individuals. I have a passion for helping couples strengthen their bond, gain a better understanding of one another, and reconnect when they have lost their shared path. I also enjoy working with families struggling through life transitions and changing times, and enjoy helping them to feel connected. I work with individuals around a variety of issues, including depression, anxiety, career and financial struggles, and relationships.
In my personal life, I enjoy hiking, camping, biking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. As a new father, I love seeing my one year old son grow and learn something new each day. I also like spending time outdoors enjoying the wonderful backyard that we are so fortunate to have here in Colorado, and am always looking for my next adventure. I love meeting new people and have a passion for empowering my clients and supporting them in their journey of personal growth.
